The bee is a symbol of wisdom, for it shows adeptness at aiding the cycles of nature. In ancient cultures and myths the bee was a direct representative of the Gods and the Goddesses of heaven. The bee was sacred to the Goddess Venus and , according to mystics, it is one of several forms of life which came to the earth from the planet Venus millions years ago. The Peridot, symbolises strength. It is sometimes called the “evening emerald” for its light green colour. It was once believed that the green peridot crystals found in volcanic ashes were the tears of the volcano goddess, Pele. When set in gold, this gem was said to protect the wearer from nightmares.
